WrestleCon US vs The World Review

I'm back with yet another review. I have no idea how good this show will be as there is a very good chance that some of the wrestlers will be hungover for this 11amET show.

Brian Pillman Jr vs Emil Sitoci

Sitoci had a solid match yesterday against Marius Al-Ani. This was a touch below that one but it was decent enough as a show opener. Pillman picked up the win. 1-0 US. **1/2

MJF vs Ethan Page

Page immediately goes after MJF's appearance on Rosie O'Donnell when he was 5. It is a running joke this week. This was pretty paint by numbers stuff with the antics being more prevalent than the wrestling. It functioned for what it was. MJF won with his feet on the ropes. 2-0 US. **

David Starr vs Daga

This is one of the matches that had to be changed due to the visa issues with the guys from Dragon Gate. Starr should have been facing Susumu Yokosuka, which seemed like a more appealing match on paper but Daga is good too. This was easily the best thing so far. A much quicker pace and better wrestling too. David Starr picked up the win to make it 3-0 US. ***1/2

Darby Allin vs Black Taurus

I enjoyed this. It was my favourite Darby Allin match so far this weekend. Taurus looks like a member of GWAR, which is awesome. This had some nice quick, smooth wrestling in it and had the best crazy bumping Allin performance so far. Taurus picked up with the win with his tasty looking spinning Michinoku Driver. 3-1 US. ***1/2

Rich Swann vs Jiro Ikemen Kuroshio

Ikemen replaces Pac here. This was fun, with a more lighthearted feel than a match against Pac would have had. On an early show that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Ikemen picked up the win so it's 3-2 US. ***

Rascalz vs Robbie Eagles, Adam Brooks & Australian Suicide

Dives. All of the fucking dives in the world. You will not see a match this weekend that is as pure adrenaline rush insanity as this, and I fucking loved it. If you don't mind a match that is nothing more than a spotfest, and it's Mania weekend so why would you, then I implore you to check out this piece of absolute insanity. The Rascalz picked up the win the make it 4-2 US. ****1/4

LAX vs Davey Boy Smith Jr & Teddy Hart

I had a few issues with my stream during this one but it seemed like it was a decent tag match but not really much more than that. LAX aren't quite having as good a week as I'd hoped. The Harts won to make it 4-3 US. **1/2

Sammy Guevara vs Puma King

Both of these men are good wrestlers, and I'm sure that these can put on a better match than this if there were less shenanigans involving YouTube. As it was it was a solid effort, nothing more. Puma King picked up the win to level the scores. **1/2

Brian Cage vs Masato Tanaka

This was a fun enough match but it was still my least favourite of Tanaka's matches so far this weekend. They beat the tar out of each other but I was hoping for better. Cage picked up the win to win the show for the US, 5-4. ***

Overall Thoughts

This was a breezy show for a 9 match card, running about 2 hours. It did peak in the middle though. If you are cherry picking matches, the 6-man tag is a must.
