This will be a breezy, quick review as it is super late due to work commitments.
Kickoff: Smackdown Tag Titles - Bludgeon Brothers vs Anderson & Gallows
This was a more competitive match than most of the previous Bludgeon Brothers encounters but it still a pretty run of the mill kickoff match. **1/2
Daniel Bryan vs Big Cass
This turned out to be Cass' last match in WWE and he went out solidly enough. Daniel Bryan should be doing more important stuff than this. ***
Sami Zayn vs Bobby Lashley
Bad. Bad, bad, bad, bad, bad. *
IC Title - Seth Rollins vs Elias
This was really good. Rollins is delivering night in and night out and Elias stepped up here, putting in a great shift. What I don't understand is this, if they were going to have Rollins lose the title anyway, why not let Elias take it? Who gives a fuck about Ziggler? ***3/4
Money In The Bank Match - Natalya vs Lana vs Alexa Bliss vs Naomi vs Becky Lynch vs Ember Moon vs Sasha Banks vs Charlotte Flair
This was a far superior match to last year's women's MITB match. Everybody busted their ass and got their chance to shine. The implementation of the gimmick was much smoother this year and they produced a super fun match that also involved some good storytelling. ****
Roman Reigns vs Jinder Mahal
There is a special place in hell for the troll that decided this should go over 15 minutes. It felt like it lasted about a month and gave me an eyeball headache. *1/2
Smackdown Women's Title - Carmella vs Asuka
A much better match than Carmella vs Charlotte, but anything would have been. For the most part, it was okay but the Ellsworth return and finish were not done well. **1/2
WWE Title, Last Man Standing - AJ Styles vs Shinsuke Nakamura
As far as I'm concerned, this was the best match of the feud. It wasn't close to their Wrestle Kingdom match but it was really entertaining, even if it did go a bit long. It appears that the feud is over now too so much like Styles vs Jericho it will go down as a feud that didn't quite work like it should have. ****1/4
Raw Women's Title - Nia Jax vs Ronda Rousey
Everything pointed to this being shit but somehow it managed to surpass all expectations and may have been Jax's best singles match. They have done a great job of highlighting Rousey's strengths and the Bliss run-in made sense. ***1/2
Raw Women's Title - Nia Jax vs Alexa Bliss
An effectively executed MITB cash-in. NR
Money In The Bank Match - Braun Strowman vs Rusev vs Samoa Joe vs Kevin Owens vs The Miz vs Finn Balor vs Bobby Roode vs Kofi Kingston
While I would have preferred a Miz victory, as he works best when he has something to hold over people and deserves another title run, this was still wildly entertaining. Braun wreaking havoc was a blast and the moment that he ran through a ladder like it was paper was made even better by Miz's reaction. A fun main event. ****1/4
Overall Grade - B+
This was a good show on the whole, and one that definitely punched above its weight. Worth a watch for sure.
